Albert J. Bernstein, Ph. D. is a Clinical Psychologist, trained at University of Virginia, Emory University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his PhD in 1977. He is licensed in Washington and Oregon, with more than forty years of experience as a therapist, business consultant and speaker. Dr. Bernstein is the author of bestsellers Dinosaur Brains, and Emotional Vampires and many other publications. Lately he has become an aspiring photographer.
Dr. Bernstein has taught courses at Clark College and Marylhurst University, and is a member of many professional organizations. He has served on the board of Oregon Psychological Association, and as president of Portland Psychological Association and Pacific Northwest Providers. For more than twenty-five years, Al has been an active member of Rotary International.
Al lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Luahna and various dogs and cats. He has two grown children, Jessica and Josh, and three adorable grandchildren, Clara, Sam and Jake, who know him as Baba.
